Furlani is the new CEO of AC Milan, replacing Gazidis.
Next month, Giorgio Furlani will take over as AC Milan’s CEO in lieu of Ivan Gazidis, the Serie A club said on Friday.
On Wednesday, Milan announced that Gazidis, who received a throat cancer diagnosis a year ago, would resign from his job effective December 5 and remain at work till that date.
Furlani, a board member of the Italian club since 2018, will leave that position before taking on the CEO position.
Furlani said in a statement that he was looking forward to working with Scaroni, Paolo Maldini, Stefano Pioli, and the rest of the club’s leadership. “Together, I know that we can achieve greater success, on and off the field,” he added.
